Batterer’s Intervention and Prevention Program (BIPP)
If you are charged with a family violence offense, you may be asked to take the BIPP course. Typically, the BIPP course is 36 hours or 18 weeks. If you are on probation, you will be required to complete the “long” BIPP course. In some instances, while you are on bond, you may be able to take the “short” BIPP course as part of the plea negotiations. The “short” course is 8 weeks, plus intake. If you are on bond, bring your certificate of completion to the office when you have completed the course.
Below is a list of agencies that offer the approved (“long”) BIPP course
- Center for Therapeutic Change 817-446-9770 or 817-548-9990
- Opportunities Counseling Center 817-360-2983 or 214-708-7779
